Nursery
This week in Nursery we spent lots of time exploring a farm themed tray! We moved the toy animals through the different textures of rice and sand, and used our hands to feel the materials too. We role played with the animals, paddling the ducks in the 'water' and eating the weetabix hay!
We had a splashing good time with a water tray this week! We observed how we could make small and larger movements to move the bubbly water, and confidently gripped the nets to scoop out the toys floating on the surface!
We also took part in some mirror painting this week! It was a brand new experience, seeing ourselves in the mirror and using brushes to paint over what we could see. We mixed the colours together and tried a variety of marks and patterns on the mirror!

Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten, we helped the grownups make a tree to go in our window display! Some of us tried stamp painting with leaves, pressing them onto the paper and gently peeling it up revealing the shape below. Some of us made handprint leaves instead, painting our palms and pressing it down onto paper. We repeated this action, watching how the paint would fade as we went along!
We also talked about our emotions a lot this week. We looked at our 'emotion bears', discussing what each character may be feeling. We then shared if we ever feel emotions such as happy or sad, and what can make us feel that way. We then practiced pulling different faces in the mirror, reflecting different emotions!

Pre-School
This week in Pre-School, we focused really well learning new games with the parachute! As a group we learned the rules for the game 'cat and mouse', and put our listening ears on as we had to swap places with our peers when our names were called.
Some of us learned about the Harvest festival this week. We read a story about Harvest, having a go at spotting the different fruits and vegetables that are eaten around this time. We then created our own sweetcorn, dipping duplo pieces into paint to make a circular pattern!
We also had a special visit from a parent this week, who is a GP. She came in to talk to us about her job, that she looks after lots of different people and helps make them better. She brought in some of her kit too, and showed us how to use a stethoscope and the bandages!
