Nursery
This week in Nursery we explored a rainbow activity! There were lots of different colourful objects for us to explore - wooden shapes, sensory tubes, and dyed dried chickpeas. We particularly enjoyed mixing the chickpeas together and watching them roll across the tray!
We also got stuck into a construction activity this week! We donned our hard hats and explored foam bricks, scoops and spoons, and more chickpeas. We experimented with using the little tools to scoop them up, pouring them from one container to another, and had a go at building the foam bricks up into towers!
Out in the garden we spent time at the water exploratory toy. We experimented with adding water to the different bowls, observing as they swung and tipped water from one to another. We really enjoyed the big splashes they made!

Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we got stuck into a sticky, messy sensory tray! There was sand, gloop, and toy dinosaurs dotted about too. Some of us used our hands to experience the mixture and the various textures, where some preferred to use the toys as a tool to stomp across the tray, leaving footprints!
At the art table we explored painting with balloons! We pushjed the balloons into paint and carefully pressed them onto paper. We noticed that the more we pressed up and down, the paint faded and created lots of different patterns.
We also spent lots of time in the top garden this week! We particularly loved the musical resources, banging on the drums and experimenting with hitting the xylophones louder and quieter!

Pre-School
This week in Pre-School we have lots of fun going to the top garden and exploring what natural resources we could find there! We found leaves of different shapes, sizes and colours, twigs, bark and even a feather! We decided as a group to make a natural collage, using glue to stick down the objects on a large piece of paper.
We also spent some time in the vegetable patch, taking part in a bug hunt! We used magnifying glasses and binoculars to look closely at the soil and trees, seeing if we could spot any creepy crawlies! We couldn't find much in the veg planters but we did manage to count five worms in the wormery!
Back inside in the art studio we demonstrated great focus and control in a marble rolling activity! We put dollops of paint in a tray alongside marbles, and had a go at carefully tipping and moving the tray around, watching as the paint trailed and left interesting patterns!
