Nursery
This week in Nursery we have been feeling very Autumnal! We explored this seasonal sensory tray filled with chickpeas, pine cones, wood slices and leaves. We got stuck in, using our hands to feel the different textures. We picked up the small chickpeas with our finger and thumbs, and transferred the objects between the different containers!
We also had a colorful creative time exploring a rainbow sensory tray! We used our hands to move through the sheets of fabric, wooden shapes and lock boxes. We thought it was very funny to put the fabric on our heads and watch it fall down! We also spent time focusing on the lock boxes, exploring the different ways we can open and close the latches.
The weather may have been rainy but that didn't stop us exploring the garden! We got dressed up in our puddlesuits and ventured out, noticing how the rain had fallen and collected in the various resources. We loved making big splashes in the tuff tray!

Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we have been making music! We explored the different musical instruments, learning how to make different sounds. As a group we sat and sang songs together, trying to keep to the rhythm together!
We also explored the story sacks this week, particularly enjoying the one related to 'Dear Zoo'! We read through the book together, and as each animal arrived in the story we took turns to pull out the soft toy from the bag - wow!
We also spent lots of time in the role play area, dressing up in different outfits. We role played as the different characters, and decided to keep the outfits on as we played around the rest of Kindergarten!

Pre-School
This week in Pre-School we took part in some singing! We took turns to pick a card from the pack, that listed a nursery rhyme. We asked the group if they knew the words and actions - some did, some didn't! That's okay, we all took part in singing along and learning the actions too.
Outside in the garden we burned off lots of energy in a game with Liza and Chloe. When Chloe held up a green bat in, we had to run around the hoops laid on the floor. When she held up a red bat, we had to stand inside a tyre! This game kept us on our toes as we watched carefully to find out what we had to do next.
Some of us also explored our senses with a rice tray. We used spoons and our hands to pick it up, collecting it into bowls. We talked about how much we had collected - who has the most in their bowl?
