This week in Nursery, we were so excited to try out our new parachute! With some help from the adults, we tried holding the edges and throwing it up into the air, watching as the fabric slowly fell back down - wow!
We took part in some al-fresco artwork this week in the rooftop garden! We could choose from different colours of tissue paper, picking them up in our hands and feeling the crinkly texture. We then tried gluing them down onto paper, making our very own collages!
There was more colour to explore back inside with a rainbow activity! The painted rainbow was carefully laid out under clingfilm, so we could manipulate and mix it mess free! Some of us used small circular movements to blend the colours, whilst some used wide sweeping gestures all across the tray!

Kindergarten this week took a trip to the Curiosity Room! We particularly enjoyed the interactive whiteboard, picking a colour from the digital palette and trying out a variety of marks and shapes with our fingers.
Back in Kindergarten, we explored an amazing colourful pasta tray! Each pile of pasta had been dyed a different colour, and we used our hands to mix and move them around. With this we also learned the Makaton signs for each colour!
Out in the garden this week, we noticed the apple tree was starting to fruit and we found some apples on the ground. We didn't eat these ones, but it led to so many learning opportunities! We talked about how the apples grow, and the different things we can make from them - juice, crumbles, pies - and role played in the mud kitchen making imaginary cakes!

This week in Pre-School, we took a trip to Oldbury Court Woods! We had so much fun splashing in the stream, and spotting the signs that Autumn is coming. We collected leaves, sticks and conkers to take back with us to Red Bus!
Back in Pre-School, our role play area has been transformed into a Doctor's Surgery! We spent lots of time role playing and trying out the different resources. Some of them we knew and recognised such as the cold compress, some were new to us like the foil blanket! We talked about each one and how they can make us feel better.
In the Art Studio we have been taking part in a printing activity using Autumn fruit and vegetables! We carefully dipped each half into paint and then pressed it to paper, talking afterwards about the different shapes each one made.
