Nursery
This week in Nursery we have been keeping cool with lots of ice and water play! We explored a tray full of different sized ice cubes, picking them up with our hands and feeling them melt and become slippery. We also used toy hammers to smash the ice!
We also discovered a bubbly water tray this week, using containers like cups and bowls to lift and pour the water back down - splash!
In the art studio some of us have been exploring paint, experimenting with new colours. We did a great job of grasping the paintbrushes, moving across the paper creating new shapes and patterns!

Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we have been keeping cool, exploring a tuff tray full of water and bubbles! We used our hands to move the water around, creating more bubbles as we went. We carefully scooped up the bubbles and tried throwing them into the air, watching as they fell to the floor.
In the garden some of us got creative, building ourselves an obstacle course! We worked as a team, picking the different objects such as the tyres and wooden plans and arranging them. We then took turns to navigate through the challenges, developing our physical skills!
Back inside in the art studio, we celebrated International Cat Day. We talked about our pets we have at home, sharing their names and what they are like. We then decorated our own paper cats!

Pre-School
This week in Pre-School, we have been developing our fine motor skills with some threading! We used dried pasta, carefully threading the pieces onto string to create some fetching necklaces!
In the garden some of us took part in a group artwork activity! We used different tools such as stamps, rollers and cutters to make marks on one large piece of paper. Whilst doing this we were encouraged to interact with our peers, cooperating and compromising on where we could place our paint!
We also explored our train track this week! First we focused really well on fitting the pieces of the track together, problem solving until we made a loop. We then role played with the small world people and trains, talking about where we are going and what's happening on board!
