This week in Flax Bourton, we have explored lots of sensory activities! Some of us enjoyed finger painting, dipping our fingers into the different colours and making marks and patterns on the paper. We also explored using foam rollers, painting across paper making a variety of lines!
We made the most of the newly opened gardens this week too! We played with the musical instruments, scooters, and physical equipment. Back up in the rooftop garden we also loved playing with the bubbles, Jez blew some really big ones and we chased them round to catch them before they popped!
Some of us helped Jodie make some playdough. We took turns to pour in the water, flour, food colouring and mixed it all together. We enjoyed being part of the process of making something that we then played with after!
This week in the over twos, we ventured to the interactive whiteboard in the dining room! We used our hands to make lots of different marks - some of us used our whole arm to make wide sweeping movements, some of us tried smaller, dotted movements!
We've spent lots of time outside in the garden, looking for different objects! We each were given a sheet of paper with different things on. We focused for a really long time, discussing where we are most likely to find things like clouds or sticks, and ticked them off when we found them!
Back inside we have been very creative in the construction area. We have donned our hard hats and high viz jackets, role playing with the tools such as hammers and screwdrivers!
