This week in Flax Bourton, the babies have been getting creative doing some mark making! We were invited to use lots of different tools, brushes and rollers with paint. We experimented with the different marks we could create, also using our hands and fingers to add to the artwork!
In the home corner we have been exploring the role play kitchen! We recognised the different food and cooking utensils, enjoying opening and closing the doors and drawers and adding the different 'food' into bowls and 'eating' it - yum!
Some of us have been developing our hand eye coordination, exploring the stacking and shape sorting toys. We focused really well, matching the shapes and colours together!
This week in the over twos we visited our local park! As we played on the equipment, we also noticed our surroundings and how they are changing with the seasons. We tried crunch-crunch-cruching on the leaves on the floor, and spotted some conkers had fallen from a tree!
We collected these conkers and brought them back to Red Bus, having a go at a mark making activity. We dropped the conkers and some paint into a box, and as we tipped and shook it we saw all the different patterns we created - wow!
We have also been practicing our mindfulness this week, taking part in some yoga. We copied the moves from the adults, stretching and turning to match them. As we did this, we were encouraged to close our eyes and focus on our breathe, leaving us feeling very calm!
