Nursery
This week in Nursery, we took part in some pebble painting! We were each given a small pebble, and invited to use brightly coloured paints. Some of us tried dipping the stone into the paint itself, rolling it over the paper to leave marks. Some of us used the brushes to dab colour onto the surface!
We also spent some time on the rooftop garden this week, getting some fresh air! We wrapped up in our waterproofs and carefully explored all the different resources out there. We particularly liked the pull along vehicles and crawling through the tunnel!
Back inside we also explored a dinosaur activity. We used our amazing imaginations, using the plants to 'feed' the dinosaurs. Some of us were able to spot the differences between the dinosaurs, pointing out which ones had spikes and which didn't!

Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we have been practising how to use scissors safely! We created heads using cardboard tubes, with paper for hair. We focused on this activity for a really long time, using the scissors with supervision, snipping the paper hair and being careful not to catch our fingers!
In the tuff tray we spoke about what colours we could see on a rainbow. The adults encouraged us to match the coloured pom poms to the correct band of the rainbow - we were so proud when we matched them correctly! The adults then told us that a rainbow is made when the sun is shining and it starts to rain. We then excitedly looked out of the window to see if we could spot a rainbow ourselves!
Thursday was International Literacy Day, so in the tuff tray we explored the story of the Three Little Pigs. We helped to create our own houses, using resources that represented straw, sticks and bricks. An adult told us the story and we helped to move the little pigs from house to house!

Pre-School
This week in Pre-School, some of us went for a nature walk in the front garden! We looked carefully at the trees, leaves and plants around us, discussing how they were changing with the coming Autumn.
In the back garden we got stuck into some water play! We enjoyed repeatedly pouring and emptying buckets and containers, filling them up and watching how the water trickles down the table.
Back inside we explored some dinosaurs and natural resources! We role played with the toys, marching them through the playdough, conkers and leaves. We noticed we could leave marks in the dough, and we made crinkly, crunching noises with the leaves!
