This week in Flax Bourton, we have been exploring a textured tuff tray full of rice, pasta and flour! This encouraged us to use all our senses as we explored - we noticed it made some great sounds as we filled and emptied the containers into the tray!
We have loved exploring playdough this week, we picked independently from a variety of hand tools to create marks and explore textures with our hands.
On the rooftop garden we have been practicing our physical skills, coordination and balance on the trikes! We also really enjoyed playing with bubbles, watching them closely as they floated through the air and reaching towards them to POP!

This week in the over twos, we listened to the tale of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. We then took part in a fruit tasting activity! We were very brave and had a go at trying the melon, pineapple, strawberries and more. We were encouraged to express our preferences, talking about whether we liked the taste or not!
We got stuck into a tray full of coloured rice and pompoms, invited to use the small buckets as containers. We thought it was funny to hide the pompoms under the buckets, guessing how many we had under each one and noticing the different colours!
We also went on a sunny trip to the playground! We had a go on all the different equipment, sharing well with our peers as we balanced on the see saws, climbed the apparatus and swung high on the swings!
