This week in Flax Bourton, babies have been exploring lots of different media! In the water tray we added blue colouring and sea animals, we enjoyed making the animals swim and jump through the water and making big splashes!
We also played with trucks and cars in the sand, we noticed the different vehicles left different sized tracks as they went. Some of us also used sieves to transport the sand around the tray, we were encouraged to give it a shake and watched as the sand fell through the holes!
As a group activity we explored the puppet toys, the adults said the name of each animal out loud and we had a go at copying the noises they make! We also put our hands into the puppets and created our own show and stories.

This week in the over twos, we took another trip to the local park! This time we took some bubbles. We loved being given the independence to hold the solution and blow on the wand, and showed empathy and consideration for our peers, letting them take a turn once we were finished!
Back at Red Bus we explored our emotions with a tuff tray. We looked at our 'Emotion Bear' cards, and shared the different emotions we all feel and what can cause them. We also had personal mirrors, so we took some time looking at our reflections, pulling different faces!
In the art corner we have been getting creative and colourful with paint! The adults had made us one HUGE piece of paper as a canvas, and we got stuck in using rollers and brushes to make marks. We also decided to involve the conkers we had gathered on a previous trip, dipping them into paint and rolling them across the surface!
